  • This 10-day training course is designed to prepare for the maintenance of all types of rotating equipment.
    Participants will learn to apply principles and procedures and ensure readiness of rotating equipment for a safe and efficient state of operation.

  • 1. To describe different types of rotating equipment
    2. To explain the working principles of rotating equipment
    3. To explain methods of maintenance
    4. To describe and use maintenance procedures
    5. To be able to maintain general rotating equipment
    6. To be able to carry out associated tasks as part of overhauls and repairs
    7. To use forms and systems to record equipment condition and history
    8. To be able to monitor the working condition of rotating equipment
    9. To describe methods to monitor rotating equipment and to analyse faults
    10. To describe and use commissioning and equipment installation procedures
    11. To be able to prepare rotating equipment for starting

    NOTE: Objectives for each day will be discussed with the participants and will be verified at closure of each day.

        a) to verify if the objectives for this day were met
        b) to determine if any adjustments need to be made to the program of the following day (if relevant)

  • The course is open to participants from the maintenance department (all levels) who have a requirement to bridge a competence gap in the maintenance of rotating equipment according to their Job/Development Profile.

    The course lecturer will adapt his programme to meet the entry level of the participants and to ensure that agreed course objectives are fully met at the end of the training course.

    NOTE:

    In order to achieve a “Skill” level, further practical learning through
    e.g. On-the-Job training or participation in projects and/or assignments is required

    NOTE:

    Although the course is aimed at a “Knowledge” (Understand) level, practical exercises and case studies will form an integral part of the learning process.

  • The objectives and modules of the training course “Rotating Equipment Maintenance” are directly linked to the Competence Assurance Programme (CAP) as developed by SOGOS Academy.
